Sunday afternoon~Wednesday afternoon

Well I met with the Bishop. Things went well...he had just received the papers from my first disciplinary counsel held in September 2004. He read the letter and then he told me he feels I am ready and that he will talk to the Stake President who had already read the paper.

We had a great meeting, he asked me some good questions which as usual brought tears to my eyes and made me feel the spirit so strongly.

Since the missionaries have been coming to teach my daughter the discussions I have realized what my lack in trying the last 6 years to return to church has done to my children. The things that she should know at this age she doesn't. What a bad mother I have been in not teaching her the Gospel of Jesus Christ and teaching the ways of the Lord. Now with the other three I can make that correct. The next oldest is 7 he will be 8 soon so he can start learning now so he is ready to learn the Teachings of the Lord.

I am proud of them for the most they are all reverent at church even the 4 year old that hasn't ever been to church! She is better behaved then some of the veteran's of the ward.

So we went shopping Wednesday and when we got home the Bishop stopped by. He and the counselor stopped by to tell me that the Stake President had said that we can start the whole process to my return to the Church. So I have to go for a few more weeks then we will hold another disciplinary counsel and at that time set a date for my baptism!

I am so excited!

My journey starts here

Now after six years of not being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints, I am ready to make my way back. I had asked several times in the past for the missionaries to come by but they never have shown up....The Spanish speaking missionaries came by once and said they would send the English speaking missionaries over but once again we never seen them.

Before I had the baby 2 sisters came over and give me a ward list and we talked for awhile. They said that they would send the missionaries. Yet again no missionaries....just after I had baby S about 2 weeks the Bishop and the 1st counselor came over and visited. I told them about Dom's desire to be baptized and we talked for about 2 hours I bet. Well, the missionaries were here the next day! It was sign it was time to go back. I have been wanting to for sometime but just didn't feel I had the right to or the support to do so. Ray and I visited with the Bishop and Counselor talked about being excommunicated and Ray got teared eyed. He knows how important the church is to me and he kept asking when I was going to go back. My answer was one day! Well, that one day is here. I am so grateful that it is time. I feel horrible for not giving the kids what they needed for the last 6 years in the means of Church. I guess it hit me when I told the Bishop I had to do what was best for Dom and Little Man and not take their family away from them to remain a member. I need to do what is best for them now and go back to church. So here we start on our journey back!

We went to church last Sunday and it was great to be there. Yet once again and me and the 4 kids! The ward members were friendly and were great!

I met again with the Bishop on Sunday after meetings.
